Reframing ConflictLearn how to navigate relationships, our work, and
the world in ways that enhance health and wellbeing.
“What is demanded is a change in our
imaginative picture of the world.”
-Bertrand Russell
I developed Non-violent Advocacy to model a different approach to conflict based upon the recognition that we are all bound together in what Dr. King called our “inescapable network of mutuality” – what I would learn from
Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu to be learning to live from our innate “Ubuntu” essence.
Once we move into Ubuntu consciousness we break down barriers, resolve conflict and shift our very definition of success, peace, joy and happiness. As President Vaclav Havel said, the future of humankind requires us to “shift the ray of our attention from that which separates us to that which unites us.” The challenge for individuals and institutions is to bring this shift into our daily work, personal relationships and into the world at large.
